I will say when i was at the beach yesterday, there was quite a warm breeze blowing off the gulf that i had to jump in the water almost every 20 minutes just to stay cool, but yeah i haven't seen any rain in my area either for quite awhile, just blue sunny skies which i'm not really complaining about either as i don't own a lawn lol, although i do enjoy me some evening thunderstorms

High pressure is just kiling us. Maybe with any luck we can get back into a southeast windflow sometime this weekend. And i do say maybe.

When i lived in Florida i found the weather tended to exhibit an irritating sameness everyday, a Weather report for the Tampa area for the next 6 months will read, hot, humid, sunny, chance of afternoon showers, wind speed 2mph.
Oh how i wished for some diversity, a rainy day once in a while or just a cloudy day, perhaps some fog or just a cool day every once in a while, alas those days were very few and far between. .

Florida has a tropical and sub-tropical climate.
Some people hate this while others, myself included, love it.
Generally given the choice I'm sure the majority of people would rather live somewhere hot and humid than cold and wet - unless you're a snowbird who can get the best of both worlds.

Probably didnt help that i worked outside on construction for most of my 20 years there also with no A/C in car or house, i was young and in good shape back then so i tolerated the heat but found the weather monotonous and the heat and humidity unrelenting..

I can deal with the heat. It's just the same old thing, solid sunshine and no rain for weeks at a time.

Dang, nothing like getting a good hot blast of air right in the kisser. Takes my breath away, yuck. No relief in sight.

No change for a while. We need to get the high north of us and get back into a southeast wind. Unless something happens soon June will be a dry month for most everyone.

I think I remember posting something about how, after all the rain we had in the spring, it would be a real dart in the patootie to have June go dry. In fact there was some sort of fire a little north of us a couple days ago, we could see the smoke plume spreading across the sky, looked like Gibsonton, but I didn't hear anything about it.
