Just saw a headline on Bay News 9 that lightning sparked 3 fires in the Tampa Bay area, I don't have any further information, but I do know that our local post office here in South Hillsborough shut down because of a lightning strike. Wow.

Southeast on the brain is what ya got. I got .75" last nite after i want to bed and got .50" today. I never lie about rainfall amounts as i do keep records and do post up pics of them from time to time.

Here in Gulfport, we had clouds and breezes most of the day, off and on light showers. Total rainfall since sunrise was a disappointing 0.08 inch. But we did get 1/2 an inch in the wee hours overnight.

Tired of all the rain? The weekend is looking drier, they say. I wouldn't mind that, as my son is coming over to do some landscape work for me. Drier would be better for that.

Holy crap. We got 4.25" overnight! Our lawn needs a mow so bad with all this rain, but they don't show up until tomorrow.
