I am relocating to the Tampa area, with a tentative move time-frame of about the beginning to mid-August, 2014.

Can someone advise me on a nice, middle-class neighborhood that has either condo's, town-homes or apartments to rent? My primary concern is living in an area with a highly rated elementary and middle school. I would prefer to be no further than 20 to 30 minutes away from the beach also if possible.

I currently rent a home in the metro-Detroit area. My rent is in the $1200 range, but I would like to find something as inexpensive as possible. I would need at least a 3 bedroom.

Any help as to where I should start my search would be much appreciated!

Where will you be working?
How far of a commute are you willing to make?
What is the most you are willing to spend on rent?
Are you willing to pay for private schooling for your children?
Do you have a spouse/SO who works that we need to consider?
What amenities are most important to you? Do you prefer a "quiet" neighborhood, or close to the bustle?

I'm not saying I can answer all your questions, but I have a feeling if you answer these you will get more hits.

Where will you be working? - For the most part, I work from home so this is not a critical issue

How far of a commute are you willing to make? - If I do have to commute periodically, I would like to limit it to 30 minutes, one way.

What is the most you are willing to spend on rent? - $1500 (some flexibility)

Are you willing to pay for private schooling for your children? - No

Do you have a spouse/SO who works that we need to consider? - No

What amenities are most important to you? Do you prefer a "quiet" neighborhood, or close to the bustle? - Would prefer a quiet neighborhood, but with relatively close access to the "hustle and bustle". I.E. - 30 minute drive or so.

Other amenities (preferred) : Accommodations - CATS ALLOWED, In unit washer/dryer hookup, garage, carport, basement

Hope this helps!
