Didn't hear anything!

But calling 911 without actually being surrounded by damage, or someone hurt could be cause for a fine on your phone bill. You're not actually supposed to call them unless you are in a serious emergency, and can visually see damage, or someone hurt.

You turn on the news of there's no damage or someone hurt around you. Unless the news is busy following low lives in east Tampa to notice loud booms! That article posted above says nothing.

Awesome!

BTW The "military" is not going to send a mass email announcing their daily exercise schedules either.

It is a big deal and it would not have taken much effort for them to let the three major news networks know that there was going to be a "training exercise", which is going to rock the foundation of thousands of homes.
What is the local PD supposed to do for ANY of those? And if people are worried their house is about to be swallowed up by a sinkhole, yet they REMAIN in the house to call 911, they probably deserve to be Darwin'd. Really, who stays in their house if they think a sinkhole is going to open up under them?

Earthquakes and plane crashes are really a dumb reason to call 911. The USGS and FAA would notify appropriate local authorities immediately and tieing up 911 lines for these reasons is absurd and wreckless.

That is not something they would publicize about. Military missions of any kind is usually classified as "confidential". Keeps the spies on their toes.

While some may equate sonic booms to sounding like sharp cracks, the farther away you are from the jet, the more likely you might hear a rumbling sound that can shake buildings.

It was heard in Spring Hill also.

We used to get sonic booms when the space shuttle came home but that is no longer an issue.

I am not arguing with you, but people do call 911.

As all of you transplants are not aware, back in the day they used to break the sound barrier regularly out over the Gulf and create sonic booms all the time. But yeah PH.......if you feel the need to call 911 after feeling your house rumble to see if they can help you go on ahead.

Out in a area called the bombing range 110 miles northwest of Clearwater. Try hearing that crap while fishing out there. Just pirus lover over doing things again.
