I figured it was the exhaust from nearby cars that she was tasting.....
I think that some people have extremely vivid imaginations.

We don't smell a thing coming from the stacks. The only thing that smells like sulfur is reclaimed water in the vicinity of a sewer. Nothing at all in the air.

I've mentioned this before, but prior to Mosaic taking over the fertilizer plant up off 41 in Gibsonton, you could smell it all the way down to Ruskin when the wind came out of the north during the autumn and winter months, and sometimes it was pretty stinky. Mosaic seems to have done a good job of handling it and let's hope it stays that way. Some people probably thought the fertilizer plant odor was coming from the TECO stacks.

Never smelled any sulfur from the TECO stacks, but sometimes during the summer, when the smoke or steam blew northeast toward the Riverview/Brandon area, you could see a yellowish streak in it, which could have been an indication of sulfur. Haven't seen that yellow color in a couple of years, though. TECO has really been pro-active in cleaning up the emissions from the stacks.

I'll answer this once I get home. However, taxes, CDD, etc depend on your lot.

Are there daily activities at Mira Bay? My parents are big card players so that would be of importance to them. We are looking at Valencia Lakes and MIra Bay. What percentage of seniors do you think reside at Mira Bay during the winter? Thanks in advance.

Lots of activities:

My MiraBay - Apollo Beach - Tampa, Florida

and amenities:

I cannot even guess how many seniors live here during the winter. I do see a lot of people my age (68) and who are obviously retired.

Thank you for the links. My mom and dad are 69. I know they would like things to do within the community during the day when they are there (nov-April). Do you see many people hanging around playing cards or something similar? They are pretty social and would enjoy meeting others.

I've not played cards for years. But, I used to play bridge, 9-5-2, hearts, crib, etc. There is a bridge club in Mirabay and maybe they could better advise your parents - Bridge Club - please contact Vladi Basch at vladibasch@gmail.com or 443-283-8428.

We participate in the local dinner club and use the pool when our kids and grandkids or other relatives and friends visit. My wife is also active in the local book club. we both sing in 4-part a capella choruses so our weeks are reasonably busy. I would enjoy playing more cards again. I just need more time.
