Hi all,

I am a 21 year old college graduate who will be moving to Tampa, FL in about two months. I've been browsing the this forum as well as doing some research into possible housing opportunities. From what I gather , SoHo, Hyde Park and Channelside district seem to be the best fit for young professionals. I was looking at streetside views of the area and it seems that Channelside looks to be more modern/open. I know there are a couple other post here on such districts but some of the post are slightly older. So if anyone could give me some feedback on these areas that would be great.

Just some background, my budget is max 1500. I'm not the biggest fan of the historic feel of some residential areas and would prefer a more modern feel. In the Channelside district I was looking at a couple places such as The Slade (great views, pricier than I'd like), Bell Channelside (ok with pricing, but reviews are shady) and Pierhouse (studio is ok price, would prefer 1br though). I understand that with a budget limit I can't have everything that I want so any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also if there are any resources I could tap into, let me know!

Best

$1500 is borderline for Channelside or Hyde Park. You'd be better off in Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Oldsmar or Clearwater. One and two bedroom apartments in those towns go for about $750-900 a month.
