Actually, I know of two but they are stodgy, family-oriented places. You have to search on "naturist" to find them. There is the Whispering Pines community at Ocean Isle Beach and there is the Jasmine Trail Campground at Black Bear, NC near New Bern. I don't think I would want to be nude in the buggy, humid climate of ENC, but to each his own.
No thank you to nudist resorts and/or beaches. I'm still recovering from the time we went to St Martin years ago! Seeing parents completely nakkid while helping their children build sandcastles is truly barfworthy.
What else would you expect in an American nudist resort ?
The population of this country is drowning in its own fat.
Only today I had breakfast in a buffet joint - I had a couple of eggs and some toast,juice and coffee.
In the 30 minutes or so I took over breakfast I watched a massive Mom,Pop and two kids make three trips to the breakfast buffet and construct a Matterhorn of food on their plates - eggs,waffles,syrup,bacon,links and a serious lump of hash browns.
I'd say the menu contained more vitamins than what was on their plates.
The parents were encouraging their kids to eat,eat and eat some more. I doubt any of that family left without consuming 3,000 calories each. And these were kids in their early teens !
Topless and nude beaches are common in Europe and no-one bats an eyelid when a woman strolls past in her birthday suit or a feller displays his meat and two veg.
There are too many hang-ups about nudity in this country.
