Hi all! Just thought I'd post an update since I've been in here a little while asking questions. My husband found a job in Tampa and we'll be moving in less than 2 weeks to Clearwater! We're staying in the Countryside area in the Enclave apartments (feel free to give opinion if you know anything about them) until we find the right area for us to buy a house in the next year or 2. We were very fortunate that the company my husband will be working for was willing to do a phone and skype interview so we didn't have the added expense of a trip in person but that also meant we weren't able to check out my daughters new school and register. She's zoned for Davis Elementary but when I called to see about their summer hours, the lady told me it's possible she could be put in a different school if her grade (2nd) filled up. I've never heard such a thing before and am now worried she won't be going there, which is a good part of the reason we moved there. The other 2 school possibilities, well, one is good and one is not. (I know there are better schools in the Palm Harbor area but we just didn't feel like PH was the best fit for us, even temporarily.) Does anyone know how likely it is to happen that her grade will fill up and be filtered elsewhere? Thanks so much for all your help!

I know it use to be that way,I had co workers move to an area because of schools, and end up getting put somewhere else with worse schools, I thought that practice stopped, but I guess not so yes if the grade is filled then you will get put in a different school, is my understanding that the better schools stay filled.
