Hello, I'm relocating to South Tampa with my family because a new job in Sun City Center. I have to kids and I'm thinking in public schools. I'm willing to drive 30-35 min to work. I need advice on which area to choose. I really want good schools for my kids, so I guess that is my prioriy. We are looking to rent for now. I have done bit of research on Lithia, Brandon, Riverview and Apollo Beach, but I'm not sure about the right place. I would love help on this matter, It would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

South Tampa is different from what you are referring to. Southshore would be the term you want.

What is your budget for housing? Fishhawk has the best schools in that area. You'll want to avoid Apollo Beach if you want good schools (other than Apollo Beach Elementary) and most of Riverview I believe.

http://www.greatschools.org/ lets you know how good the school is.

Hello, thank you for replying, I can afford 1600-2000$ rent. I looked at fish hawk and schools reviews seem ok, I don't know how good are them, the driving distance is a bit far, but i guess I can sacrifice myself. How are Brandon and Riverview Schools? Are there any good neighborhoods there? Thank you.

The minimum grade I would be willing to accept is an 8 out of 10, maybe a 7. Most of Riverview does not have good schools. Brandon schools are mixed. You need to look at each individual address in Riverview and Brandon because the schools change depend on where you are. You don't need to do that for Fishhawk because all the schools are at least an 8.

We are moving too and were looking at Fish Hawk. Is there a difference between Fish Hawk Ranch or Fish hawk Trail?

I believe it is just a section of Fishhawk Ranch.

Default Relocating to Tampa

I'm not sure neither on the neighborhood, but I heard there are all good and the schools as well.
