Some people here think that Florida pays great wages, they do if you are a Dr. or a Dentist. But as you can see not so much for people that are general labor.

So that is $8.80 an hour for a dishwasher.

That is about the national average for a dishwasher.

Who think so?
By the way, the link you posted shows highest and lowest wages which means not all doctors or dentists get paid that much as well as not all general labor employees getting paid. There is something between lowest and highest wages. And it's true not only for Tampa by the way...

Well, you can post the link to highest and lowest salaries for entire world and it will not change the fact there is something between highest and lowest wages... The posted link is not talking about average salaries, but covers only highest and lowest.... It keeps everything between out of the picture.

My personal opinion, don't want to complain about low general labor wages? Get your butt to school and get a degree, preferable useful degree and get paid what you deserve...

It is so much easier to stay uneducated and unskilled and then complain that they arent being paid enough (i.e. fast food industry's desire for $15 an hour). Staying uneducated and unskilled usually keeps the door to food stamps, medicaid, housing subsidies, utility subsides and other programs open.
