That has got to be one of the most DUMBASS things I have ever read in a Tampa Bay newspaper.

Why is Tampa's traffic so bad? The science behind the jams | Tampa Bay Times

OF COURSE THERE ARE WORSE PLACES TO DRIVE THAN TAMPA.

Traffic in Tampa Bay is NOTHING compared to Orlando, Miami, Dallas, DC, Boston, Atlanta, ETC. The list of places with WORSE traffic than Tampa is very long!

Second, traffic is not bad if you live in South Tampa and commute east, west or north. Reverse commute, people. It's not rocket science! And don't even tell me you can't afford South Tampa. Yes, there are plenty of cheap houses (150k or less) in South Tampa. Here's one right here:

4005 W Granada St, Tampa, FL 33629 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

Finally, bad traffic is very lucrative for this state. Car accidents (whether people want to believe this or not) pump BILLIONS of dollars into this state in the form of paying millions of salaries (doctors, lawyers, mechanics, insurance agents, admin staff, etc) and many others make a killing from car crashes.

"Is there a worse place to drive than Tampa"? Sure--try driving around Bradenton and Sarasota with 80 year-olds all day and you will know the true meaning of "people driving you insane."

Seems pretty accurate to me Opie....

you realize 1/4 of the drivers here are UNINSURED right, so its not just the driving in traffic, you actually have to try and avoid 25% of the other cars so you wont get sued LOL

It's not accurate. Check any "most congested city" report and Tampa is nowhere near the top of the list.

Jammed: L.A., San Francisco tops in traffic misery

Yes it ranks in the top 25 but it's not anywhere near the worst, so clearly the Times article is wrong when it says there is nowhere worse to drive than Tampa. Idiots.

Yes, but the ones here all came from there.

It's the drivers that make it the worst place to drive for me, not so much the traffic.

I dont think they are wrong..did you actually read the article? They factored in a lot of stuff you just dont see in these types of articles not just time stranded in traffic....

The problem is all those $8 an hour workers driving their beater cars.
