I was in Dunedin yesterday. What a cute little town! The downtown was full of people walking around, even though it was hot. Great shops and restaurants. My favorite restaurants are Kelly's and Bon Appetit, where I had my wedding reception. The Pinellas trail runs through it for bikers and walkers. Whatever they end up building, I hope they keep the small scale to blend into the small, friendly town.

Yep. No shortage of people out and about being active and enjoying. Hope everything is designed well to fit in.

I have to agree with you about Bon Appetit's food. We just had a brunch, so it was good. I had a cheese cake for a wedding cake. Someone didn't know how to cut it properly and hacked it all up. lol But you can't beat that waterfront view!

Default Places to eat in Dunedin

Bon Appetit has a wonderful water view, the food is not so great for the price.
Kelly's food is much better and is reasonably priced.

Once it is built, Dunedin will have less parking spaces for large events. I say demolish the utilities/sheriff building. Construct a 7 story parking garage. Move the utilities/sheriff and city hall into the Fenway Hotel or spend a lot of money and build something at the old nielsen media property and maybe add on a new fire dept location and maybe the parks dept should build a recreation center, with an olympic size wave pool for the kids from Dunedin elementary and middle schools, those kids from Dunedin and northern Clearwater would love that.

I hate the idea of Dunedin growing. I notice the large parking lot just north of Main, beside the Pinellas trail and opposite the Brewery, is under contract, i.e., about to be sold. That parking will be sorely missed.
