Yes, I know. I am "guessing" that maybe some people don't want to drive to and then past a very busy CWB, when they can just pop out to HIB. Just a guess. Could easily be wrong.

Sand Key is the next island south of Clearwater Beach, and Sand Key Park is at the north end of Sand Key, on the Gulf side. It is nice.

I talked to another Honeymoon Island employee this evening, who says they are building three jetties first and then replenishing the sand. The jetties should help preserve the beaches.
