Just had a band go thru here in Gulfport..not much rain, all WIND!!

Here's a live camera of downtown Gulfport. For those who know Gulfport, the camera is on the Casino and pointing up Beach Blvd (that's Neptune's grill to the left...you can see the stop sign on corner. It's not that unusual for flooding in this area, Boca Ciega Bay is directly on the other side of the Casino. No other flooding that I know of here.

GTV1-Live Stream on USTREAM: Check out whats going on in the Great City of Gulfport and when you're done, hop on down and join the fun! . Other 24/7

Good to see this stuff because in the future if it looks like a direct hit, I'm outahere. That wind yesterday for about 20 mins wasn't even close to what a real hurricane would bring and it was pretty intense. I'm gone in my RV up the road 500 miles or more......

Except for the rain, dwayne. We've got that training going on here in South Hillsborough.

I hear ya. After just seeing what a slight brush by can do, I'd be tailing out of dodge if I see one come directly at us. Not taking any chances. It'll be miserable in the aftermath just with the humidity and no power.
The catch will be to commit and bail early enough before you get bogged out trying to get out of the area.

Don't you mean the "best" is over?

We must have got a ton of rain last night, as my rain gauge overflowed again.
