Look around Himes Ave. Lakeshore Club is relatively cheap, there's a few places off of Sligh, and there's Hawk's Landing (student housing). Check out those areas. Welcome.

Welcome to Tampa I would say it all depends on your budget! But there are some great apartment complexes west on HB Ave past the airport. But again it all depends on your budget! Good luck. You might want to check Apartment guide Tampa

Why would you send somebody west of the airport when there are tons of apartments that are in comparable neighborhoods with comparable prices as well as MUCH closer to the school on the east side of the airport? That makes no sense. With that said, I'd avoid a lot of apartments east of Dale Mabry on Hillsborough. Stick to Himes. You wont go wrong there.
