Take away religion and social issues, and you lose the glue that holds the GOP together, that's why libertarians can never rally more than 3% of the vote.

Look at most(not all) the areas in the United States that are in major debt. Most of them are run by democrats. They pay out more than they take in. Then you have all the people that flee those areas because they get sick and tired of paying for everyone else!!

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) | Food and Nutrition Service

SNAP Food Stamps Help Needy Families Just Like They're Supposed To - US News
Food Stamps Work A Lot Better Than You Think

Fraud is extremely rare, and costs are falling as the economy recovers.

Critics who think the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) is out of control and fraud-ridden should think again. After growing substantially in response to the greater hardship generated by the Great Recession and subsequent slow recovery, SNAP costs have started falling and are expected to fall further. Meanwhile, new data show, less than 1 percent of SNAP benefits go to ineligible households.

Come to NYC where SNAP benefits and WIC cards are sold on the open market. Also I saw that Daily News article where WIC cards and SNAP cards were used to buy items that were shipped to the Dominican Republic. You can show me any study you want however I have seen fraud with my own eyes. I locked up a 21 year old kid driving a 2013 Acura MDX with a WIC card. Drives a nicer car than I do and sits back and steals from the taxpayers. Look at those two terrorists from Boston. They received 100k in benefits from the US government. Again show me any study you want. People are mooching off the system and any attempt to say other wise is that you are turning a blind eye towards it.

If you've read the result of your question, you might just give up on Tampa. Not a bad thought. But it is warm cost effective and diverse. I don't think you'll find a liberal haven here, but I doubt that anyone in South Tampa (bayshore to westshore) will assault you for your political views.

Then again, the results of global climate change might just flood that area out.

Alternatively, find a place you like to live and associate with people you like to talk to.
