Hello everyone!
My husband and I just moved down to St. Petersburg couple months ago from up north. We hardly met anybody more than a small talk. I am curious where can you meet up with friendly people? (Places, events, etc.)

What are your hobbies? Get involved in them here and you will meet people who share your interests. Take it from there.

Welcome. We moved to St Petersburg's Euclid St Paul neighborhood about 5 months ago and met a lot of people through our neighborhood association. Ours is very active, we have general meetings, events, and monthly porch parties. It was a very easy way to start to meet our neighbors.

Currently we live in South St. Petersburg, but when our lease is up, we would like to move to a different neighborhood, probably closer to downtown, or even we would consider Clearwater or Tampa. We love the beaches and downtown areas!

Hello "neighbors". I am 38 and my partner is 41. We have taken a couple of pottery classes, and joined the bird watching tours around Boyd Hill Nature preserve. We also participate in the organization "St Pete Preservation", they sponsor the movies in the Park
St. Petersburg Preservation - Movies in the Park . They also host tours around the older neighborhoods. Also a great place to meeting people.
Oh yeah, another area I like (to rent or buy) is 30th Avenue N between 4th and 9th Street.

Fit2Run has a couple of stores where they do training for shot and long races....if you're a runner, you might find some friends through the groups.

Now I am seeing some new people coming to St Pete now posting here. Makes me want to hurry up and get down there. Hopefully I can by January and like someone else said, some prices may drop. This is something to see that new people are coming because its almost like a rebuild with new ones trying to get established and see who else wants to meet. Much more than the hell location I currently live that's for sure.
