We will be renting and the market is scarce in our budget ($1300-$1400/mo). There seems to be consistent inventory rotating in Meadow Pointe that rolls up to Sand Pine or Double Branch. I've seen a negative review about how Sand Pine handled a special needs student situation and that worries me. One of my children has ADHD and needs extra understanding and effort in support of the issues that come with the disability. Moving mid year for a 3rd grader is a challenging transition for even non ADHD children.

Sand Pine Elementary
Hello MovinOut63, we recently (June 2014) relocated to the area and our children go to Sand Pine Elementary school. All the reviews we received prior to going and while we have been there have been very good
. The teachers seem very active, and they use A LOT of electronic media for teaching purposes, IPads, apple computers, and various apps all in an effort to bring the subject matter to the children. They have a great reading program that encourages (and rewards) students for learning (Sunshine books). The principal is very engaging and interacts with the students and parents on a personal level, calling the students by name. Whereas some may just say "hello". He is also not afraid to pick up a broom or towel during lunch time to help out. In other schools we have been to the principal may have felt that was "not my job", where as at Sand Pine he interacts with everyone.
Meadow Pointe is a nice area close to EVERYTHING, within 2-3 miles you have Walmart, Sams, several drug stores, Target, Publix, clothing stores, a mall, doctors, dentists, schools, banks, fire station, gyms, etc. Hope this helps and good luck.

Sand Pine Elementary
. The teachers seem very active, and they use A LOT of electronic media for teaching purposes, IPads, apple computers, and various apps all in an effort to bring the subject matter to the children. They have a great reading program that encourages (and rewards) students for learning (Sunshine books). The principal is very engaging and interacts with the students and parents on a personal level, calling the students by name. Whereas some may just say "hello". He is also not afraid to pick up a broom or towel during lunch time to help out. In other schools we have been to the principal may have felt that was "not my job", where as at Sand Pine he interacts with everyone.
