We relocated to Tampa, FL for a job with my company located in Nashville, TN. Currently we are in the fall and I was curious if their are any pumpkin patches around here?

Secondly where is the farm land located near tampa I have always been curious what is considered the rural areas are at.

South of Tampa in South Hillsborough (Ruskin and Wimauma) has tomato farms, strawberry farms, and blueberry farms. Plant City and Brandon have farm land and well.....

Pumpkins don't grow well in this agricultural zone, unfortunately. I'm not saying there aren't any small boutique farms around, but I don't know of any. BucFan is correct about where all the farms are around here, though. South and east of here are the tomato and strawberry farms. North of here (and east, too) are the blueberry farms. Blueberries need chill hours which we don't get much of here in Tampa, but northward up toward Dade City there are lots of blueberry farms. That also means that if there are pumpkin farms, they too will probably be up there.

Edit- I just did a quick Google search and there is one in Dunnellon, which is northwest of Dade City, so probably a good 2 hours north of Tampa: http://www.dunnellonpumpkinpatch.com/

Not a pumpkin patch per se, but you will find a lot of pumpkins at Wolfe Produce in Riverview at 301/Bloomingdale. They will also be having hay rides that start this coming weekend (I think).
