Sounds like you are succumbing to the panic and hysteria the media seems to be thriving on.
At this point there are only 2 cases in the USA. and they are being well taken care of.

They're building hospitals/clinics so that the epidemic in Africa won't spread to the rest of the world. They're not directly taking care of patients.

On all other cases, information was readily available and broadcast. However, they are much more closed lipped on this situation. I also thought it was different that they had a tent set up for the decontamination, which might be a good way to handle these things.

No panic from my part. Just that it's all unfolding before our eyes. I know the news peeps will blow things out of the water.

That's not their job. That's the job of WHO, The Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, etc.

Reservists been doing humanitarian missions in Africa, Central America, Asia for decades....there's a huge benefit to Americans' well-being if the virus can be contained and eradicated -depending on volunteer organizations like the Red Cross isn't enough.

Red Cross may be volunteer. WHO is not, and it's incredibly well funded. If it can't do its job, then de-fund it and give that money in hazard pay to the reservists.

And surely we have enough humanitarian work that can be done right here at home.

Seems to me the media is making quite the big deal out of 2 sick people in the usa, and ignoring the fact that many people actually will die in the USA for a variety of reasons.
