My DD will be relocating to Tampa to work for CitiGroup at the Citibank Center. The job starts in two weeks and she needs to find an apartment fast.What's most important is safety as she's single and 24.

I checked out Versant when I first moved here. Looked like decent complex, but they didn't have gated security. Across the street looked to be another place called The Paddock Club - didn't really like the looks of the common areas so I didn't investigate further....both places are centrally located in newer part of Brandon near shopping. I liked that the access to the Selmon Expressway (requires a toll) is right there - and easy access to downtown Tampa. Not renting now - since I purchased back in '09 when I moved to the area.

Thank you BucFan. We weren't impressed with Paddock and she currently lives in a complex run by the same big company and we're not crazy about them overall.

Courtney Palms looks like good location and appears newer. Not far from Selmon and shopping. The problem w/ Versant is that since it is ungated and near businesses, who never know who might be hanging out in the complex area or venturing in.

I've heard good things about Courtney Palms, I know a lady who used to live there (she would have stayed, but needed to move closer to work) and she raved about it.

I liked crosswyndes but we got an awesome job offer out of state so we went with them and now we are being moved again through them to south Carolina so good luck but yeah crosswyndes were nice but they did have some brainless people working in their office as one girl told me I could not pull my moving truck Penske up near the door which meant I would have to constantly walk across the parking lot to unload my Penske ...that was not true but anyways have her check out crosswyndes they are really nice .

Thanks for all the input. After visiting several properties today, she decided to go with The Oasis at Brandon. The rent was a little higher than she was first looking for, but they are brand new so she'll be the first in the apartment and that's alwasy a great feeling.
