Maybe someone knows, i was at clearwater beach the other day and it seemed like spring break to me, why is it so busy down there, lord, there were college kids and just kids in general all over, i've alway's known this time to be somewhat slow and just the snowbirds. My parents have lived in florida some time and when i've been here for months it's never been this busy. I asked a local shop owner they didn't know either they were asking the same question why it's been so busy down here in general lately besides the snow birds, seems like lots of kids. Maybe someone knows, Have good evening

Tourism is up this year. I'm sure that has something to do with it as well.

Yes, tourism is up and the earliest of snowbirds are starting to trickle down. There's nothing bad going on right now, like the 4 hurricanes in 04 and the gulf oil spill is old news, so that probably helps. I find it suprising tourism is way up in places like Hernando County where they don't even have a decent beach there.

Tourism is not just up but have been breaking all time records lately .

I stopped going to Clearwater beach, well the last time was for the Sand Art or what ever they called it (that was great BTW) some 8 months ago ... There are so many places to chose from, not sure why people want the same crowded place.
