I have lived all over Lakeland. Been here 45 years. Started out a youngster near Grove Park, move to south Lakeland highland area. Lived there for years. Now live in north Lakeland been here over 20 years. There isn't anything really better about south Lakeland. The roads are so well developed you can get around easily where ever you want to live. I would rather live in a nice apartment with good walls as long as it safe. Than live with the noise caused by thin walls. In 2009 moved to south lakeland for a year after being on the north side for years and I missed the north side. Now that I am on the north side I miss some of the south side. Which is really dumb because I can go where ever I want in just a little while. Really Lakeland is such a beautiful city doesn't matter which side you live on. Every time we go on some errand or appt I enjoy what I see. One thing I like about the north side. I go to a specialist in Celebration Florida and it's an easy trip from the north side. But then on the south side I like Lakeside village shopping. But we have a new theater on the north side and a new shopping area near the target on the north side. See I can't decide. Just move into the best apartment and you will be ok.

For your high school daughter look to south Lakeland. George Jenkins High School is very good. I moved my son here going into the 9th grade. Both my kids had a good experience.
