Hello. I am looking for recommendations for an Over 55 mobile home community that is resident-owned in the Clearwater area. Must allow two small dogs and have HOA fees less than $300 per month.

I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Thank you!

About a year ago I found a site that listed all the resident owned 55+ parks in Pinellas County. I didn't keep it as we decided on a condo instead.

You might find some info on Realtor.com

Good luck.

It's an individual thing. I am 68 and had no interest in over 55 communities. Last thing my wife and i wanted was to always be with people in our age group. We live in Mirabay, which is a very eclectic community.

We would not live in anything but a 55+ community. They are geared for us and our contemporaries, Anywhere else you are just "that old geezer down the street".

Good for you! As I said, over 55 is an individual thing.

We don't care for segregated communities of any sort, including age.

We prefer eclectic communities and found what we love in historic waterfront district in Gulfport, where everyone is welcome!

Personally, the advantage is no kids around except for those visiting for short times. Activities geared to over 55 people and just being around like-minded folks.
