Anyone know of a park or picnic area open later than 6 pm? I would like to make s'mores and look at the stars! Firepits (or the ability to bring my own) would be a huge bonus.

I live in Lutz but am willing to drive anywhere.

Thanks!

I suppose that Fort DeSoto might have something like this. I've been wondering about a place like this too though. I don't know if there are grills for smore making, but for what it's worth I don't think there's a prettier nighttime spot (and well kept secret) than Plant Park at UT, overlooking the city. Sad that Curtis Hixon's landscaping doesn't have that kind of vibe (though it is kid friendly, at least).

State parks have cabins, camp grounds, etc you can spend the nite if you want or leave after you are done is usually less than 50 a nite even for the cabins.
