Similar dynamics at work, though. Similar result. Different cause, but it's still a sinkhole.

That's my kind of forecast! Just waiting out the cold.

Your exactly right. They also happen underneath roads.

Looking forward to it, after the brutal 3 day winter we just went through.

I call that a great winter. We had enough of the real thing, which is why we moved here.

Hehehe. At least I can get back to going outside tomorrow. Too cold to go outside today and yesterday jacket-less.

I took the last load of firewood into the house. It was delightful last night so lets go for round two. Much better then putting on the heater from the AC.. Ugh! I remember back in the early 90's, I actually had the water pipes to my new house freeze. I had a friend who was a plumber tell me that it was just the small section of pipe that went from the ground to the house that probably froze. He told me to just put a hair dryer on it for a minute to defrost it. Sure enough two minutes later we were good to go. Early years of homeownership, I remember them well.

Your lucky was the pipe copper? Because copper pipe will split in a heart beat if trying to thaw out. But I'm thinking it was cpvc or even pec piping.
