Hah! Here's a sinkhole that swallowed a snowplow in New Jersey! So Florida is not alone. BTW, people in the neighborhood lost their water service just before this happened.
Got a low of 32 here last night. Buffalo has some sinkholes today due to broken water mains.

Winter, such a joy for some. Broken water mains, electrical power down, roads clogged with snow and ice making driving nearly impossible, roof collapses from the weight of the snow on them, in ability to get your vehicle out of the driveway or parking spot should you need to go anywhere, stuck in the house.

Oh, wait, I just saw one of our giant mosquitoes fly by

The wind stayed up all nite so that really helped keeping the temps up.

That was brutal indeed. I'd never survive it up north. With that note I'm already looking forward to the warm weekend outdoor.

Seeing I spend half my time up in the bald assed prairies in Alberta, including early winter (hunting season, and the other half in the Tampa bay area, I find it funny when people walk around in overcoats, gloves and long pants, and I am wearing flip flops and shorts.

It's all relative, as I know I can't handle the summers here... I've been here in August. That humidity is a killer!
