Here is a link to Yzerman's retirement ceremony were they retired his number and were it hangs in the rafters of joe Louis areana. It's in six parts I think you will enjoy it I know I did, he is a was a great hockey player.

Agree, Steve is very good for this club. I think Mr Vinik has done a great job with the team since he bought it. Best decision he made besides buying the team (thank you), was to hire Steve Yzerman.
In such a short time he has made some tuff calls and transformed this team for the better. I hope Mr Vinik makes it worth it to steve to finish what he has started. The Red Wings have been a class act for Detroit, giving them something to be proud of for sure.

Bolts are playing awesome! I'm a little leary of their defense and hope they pick up someone on defense at the deadline. I was at a few games last season, but became temporarily disabled this season and the Arena sucks in accommodating disabled people. It's really a crime. You can only use the disabled parking and entrance if you are a season ticket holder.

I don't hold a grudge against the team, only the sports authority managing the arena.

Go Bolts!!!

Like I said, I was really impressed with the renovations to the Ice Palace. Hey, I'll never call it anything else! And it's definitely a good atmosphere in there at the games.

The win on Saturday improved the Lightning to 26-6-1 at home, the best home record in the league.
This is a new franchise record for the Lightning as well. Lets keep the momentum going to and through the playoffs. Go Bolts!

Looks like Tampa Bay is finishing strong. Beating Boston was a great game to bring them to the next level before the playoffs Begin. With that monkey off their backs and having good goal tending lets see how far they can go.

The penalty killing has really stepped it up. They still make some bonehead plays in their own zone and I hope they straighten that out before the playoffs.

Hockey season is too long. I've tuned them out for awhile now. I'll tune back in when playoffs come around.

I went for the first time in my life to a Hockey game earlier this week and what an amazing evening. Lots of entertainment or things to keep you entertained.

Tampa winning made it even better!

Hopefully the lady sitting behind the duck out is ok after getting hit in the head!
