No denial here. I've lived in both places full time within the last few years. I'm not giving opinions on living somewhere a couple decades ago. Electric dipsticks, battery blankets. Where did you live the Arctic Tundra? I had a lot more trouble with the heat cooking my motorcycle batteries down there than I ever did from the cold up here. I never had a battery freeze. Never even heard of that happening.

Even my diesel truck would start the first time, every time after sitting for days in the cold without being used. I didn't use an electric dipstick, oil pan heater, or battery blanket.

There are some posters on the forum that think only two places exist in the world - Florida and Siberia.

I for one would take the 30 degree weather in exchange for a reprieve for my sinuses, everything has been covered in green soot for the last week I am popping a zyrtek every 6 hours.

In the 40+ years I've lived here, I've NEVER been bothered by the pollen like I have the last couple of years. My family and friends say the same thing. Sinus infections and headaches, upper respiratory infections, lingering flu like symptoms - never had them before. I suppose I'll just have to get use to it since we don't even have a whisper of winter anymore.

Sorry to say, but living here in Ohio I have allergies year round, no matter the temperature. I can't remember the last time I could breathe out of my nose more than 50% without a slew of allergy pills.
