Well my wife left this morning for Tampa, she starts her new job on Monday. She is driving down with her mother and staying rent free at her mothers friends house in Lakeland.

She decided to suffer through the commute for the next few months until we find a house to rent prior to my son, daughter and myself coming down in July.

Thanks again to everyone who has offered advice and positive comments over the past year.

The next step for me, is talking to my company about working remotely. I am in IT so fortunately 95% of my job can be done remotely, plus the company has hundreds of employees in various positions across the country so there is a good chance things will work out.

Putting my house on the market in a few weeks and I will probably talk to my boss around the same time.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

As your move is all about the weather she will be on cloud 9 when she arrives as temps this week will see temps near 90 with a similar number for humidity. Congratulations on the start of your new Florida lifestyle.

If I can help you or your wife in anyway, just let me know. Just PM me for my phone number if that will help.

PS - it is 85 degrees outside this afternoon.

I can't tell if this was sarcasm or not LOL!

I don't know... if I see 90F and 90% humidity, my butt stays inside!

I'm so glad you've got the ball rolling for your relocation to the Sunshine State. I think your wife is going to love it here and when you get here it'll be even better. I realize she's got her mom and her mom's friend to help her, but if she needs any other help or info. just let us know. It was a truly glorious day here weather wise. We went to the Manatee Viewing Station and then the beach.
