Yea you have to living here. Never once have I ever had a problem in the north, but as soon as I moved here within a year my I'd was stolen to get a IRS return. Now I have to put in a code every time I file for taxes. Yes Florida is a scamer state and #1 in the country. I don't need blinders to here the news every day. I see all the beat up pickup trucks with homemade signs on their doors say handyman, and or home repair with the driver in a filthy white tshirt who has a 2 day beard and a Cigerett hanging out of his mouth. And they all have a used extension ladder tied to their truck bed. So I know a scamer when I see them.

Ten States With the Most Fraud Complaints - 24/7 Wall St.

Michigan is in the top 10. FL is one of the largest states with a large population. Of course the odds
of finding a sucker are greater here. Same with housing. Many investors who had nothing in the equity simply walked away from multiple properties they had banked on making them rich. Lots of vacation and part time homes went that way too. 1 in every 441 housing units received a foreclosure filing in Jan 2015. Change in filings from December: Up 24 percent.

Florida is a very unique place in the U.S. because it caters to many different lifestyles. No other state compares in diversity.

What I was trying to point out to you, and I think successfully, is that the garbage you post is not a problem unique to FL but occurs everywhere.

If I had such a negative opinion of a place I would not hesitate to leave it. U R here 4 years. Must be something keeping u here.

In 2007-2012 the entire U.S. was in deep recession. That is now history as economic recovery takes hold. In bad times the toys and extras go first.

These are the states with the most fraud complaints:

*

1. Florida

> Complaints per 100,000 population: 997.8

> Total complaints: 195,103 (2nd most)

> Identity theft complaints per 100,000: 192.9 (the most)

> 2007-2012 home value change: -35.7% (3rd worst)

Stealing Social Security numbers to collect phony tax returns is on the rise in the United States, but nowhere more than in Florida. Of the nearly 40,000 complaints of identity theft in Florida last year, more than half were related to government documents and benefits. The housing market may also be placing residents at greater risk. Florida was among the hardest hit by the housing crisis, with home values plummeting more than 35% between 2007 and 2012. Last year, one out of every 33 homes was in foreclosure, the worst rate in the nation.

Believe me my wife just today heard about a job back home and she is going to arrange a phone interview with the head person involved to get a firm job offer effective this August $65,000 to start and free medical. The only reason we moved here is my baby brother was here, but I have my grandkids in Michigan. As far as winter I miss it I love the snow I worked in the cold and snow nothing to me. So I hope all works out. Will be moving to Kalamazoo Mi. And I will be between Detroit and Chicago good eating in both cities.

My bank called me yesterday again asking me about some charges on one of my cards. And I'm glad hey closed my card right away and many small charges were declined since it were so many for places I never shop. But again the $ 10.- at Zappos was there again as a pending charge as all of the times when my card was comprised happened.

I guess crooks like to shop at Zappos.

My credit union's fraud prevention folks have called me numerous times for "questionable" charges. Nothing has ever been fraudulent. I guess they think Orlando is on the other side of the world, as most of the time these calls were triggered by transactions over there.

I was over that way for work and stopped at Dunkin Donuts. I spent under $5 but got a call a few hours later after I had gotten home.
