Hi all, i'm wondering what is the best university in the area to get an MBA from? I'm thinking of an emphasis in Finance maybe?

My initial thought would be USF no? What are your thoughts on USF?

Thank you all in advance...

If you were my kid that's where I'd suggest. I'm not into finance but living here and being interested in what's going on beyond my immediate sphere, I know they have created some sort of international institute for global economics. They ARE a leading research univ. in several fields. University of South Florida There is a campus in St.Pete as well as Tampa and I think that one has an MBA program too. Depending on your age, and if you need to work in your field, you might prefer it.
Also check out U of Tampa but I'm not so sure about what they offer. It's private so $$$.

I work at UT, not in the College of Business, but it has a nationally accredited MBA program--it's really very good--but of course it's private ($$$).

The University of Tampa is one of only 2 AACSB accredited business schools in Tampa (the other being USF). While both are good and AACSB accredited, UT is closer to downtown, has an EXCELLENT reputation among employers in the Tampa Bay area and has a truly beautiful campus.

If you're unsure or don't believe me, take a tour of both campuses. I teach at UT (and thus am biased) but when I interviewed and had to decide where I wanted to spend a large portion of my life, the choice was UT hands down.

Good luck!
