Hi all,

I want to buy a house in Tampa area and rent it out.
My budget is ~60,000$
What is the recommended neighborhood for this price ? that is easy to rent it out.

In this price i can get a house in YBor city, but i read is not very good place to live.

What about North Tampa ? in other recommendation ?

In addition, i understand that Zephyrhills and Brooksville are good suburbs for this price, can you tell me anything abut this places ?

Thanks a lot for any help.

Gili

LOL $60k will have you in the middle of the riff raff, or a mobile home trailer trash area! I am sure it will be easy to rent out to that crowd and make like what? $100 a month?

North Tampa is $250,000 and UP if you want to have an "INCOME property".

You can find investment properties all around Tampa for 60k.
I would consider looking south of Gandy. 3/1 concrete block. Who cares if it's not in the best neighborhood, it's an investment property.

Renters of a $60k house probably won't be the kind of people with the best backgrounds, the most reliable income streams, the ability to pay month to month without being late.....are you going to be a long distance landlord and depend on a management company to handle the day-to-day problems that come up?

Check out Zillow.com and put in your prices and see what comes up.

This is what comes up at Tampa Heights for $65k and $68k.

Tampa FL Real Estate - 212 Homes For Sale | Zillow

just want to know whitch neirberhood is better for investment and whitch neiberhood should i avoid.

In addition, in Zephyrhills:

You can definitely buy something (I wouldn't call it a house though) for $60K, but good luck renting it later. Make sure you will have money to remodel you place after people leaving without paying for rent and destroying your house because this is exactly what's happening with houses like that in Zephyrhills or Brooksville. If you think you will recover your $60K soon enough, I would bet you will invest more to keep the condition "rentable"

What's wrong with that better than having a property sitting there and abandoned. Don't see any locals stepping up to the plate and buying these properties money is money no matter were it comes from.
