Hi, I put in a lottery for my 6th grader to Terrace Community Middle School. She has 300+ students ahead of her. Is there a chance for her to get in at all? Thanks,

Do you know the current enrollment, that would shed some light on your probability.
Great schools says 659, based on that I would say not likely unless you see major construction going on.

Thanks for your response. I am just wondering if anyone has previous experience so I can estimate whether there is a possibility to get in. I kind of figure that the chance is slim.

If you don't get in this coming year, they have often have openings during the school year. People drop out, move, whatever. If you don't mind moving your child mid-year, they have a better chance of getting in. It is a very good school. Tons of homework. Many kids who go there, go to an IB high school.

My kids never went there. They went to Learning Gate instead. I have several neighbors kids went there. I knew one family who was able to get their daughter in the last 2 months of school. She did fine and was able to continue the following year.
