Did apply for something part time first instead of full time positions so you can work your way to the next level.

Not enough information. What do you consider "normal"? What kind of job are you looking for? Is there any reason you wouldn't be able to work at the employer's location?

I am trying to find a job down in Tampa bay also. I am a certified medical assistant. I want to move down there because I like the area. Hopefully my skillset is an asset down there. Tired of living on long island. I have had enough. Close to 50. Cannot take the fast pace of NY anymore.

Why is it so hard to believe a lot of people take a pay cut, and the cost of living here is above that pay cut still? You must be really rich to think Florida is cheap.

If a new car costs $25,000, it is much harder to pay for that car with Florida dollars than with San Francisco dollars or New York dollars. If the average annual car insurance is $2,000 in both New Jersey and Florida, it is harder to pay for it with Florida dollars than with New Jersey dollars.
