If your working with a pretty large budget, the neighborhood of trotting down off of boy scout road is awesome. large, several acre lots with nice homes. lots of horses.. several of the homeowners have business related to horses (vets, trainers, etc..)

regardless, there are PLENTY of nice lots with room for horses and her to run her business up and down tarpon springs road and the area surrounding it.
What would you say was a large budget for that area?

I live in the East Pasco area and I am very familiar with the area. I am close to South Creek Foxhounds too. I would be happy to answer any questions about the equestrian community in this area. I'm always happy to meet fellow horse people!

Thanks, Pam - when we have our act together in terms of getting some specific property requirements written down and have defined a time to come down and visit I will let you know.

I think further west than Odessa would be ideal, but how much of a hike is it from there? Google says 35 to 50 minutes from Odessa to Dunedin at the weekend - does that seem realistic?

Farm/agri/horse areas are: dade city, Brooksville, plant city and further down Lakeland. Each of these town has its own pros and cons to be aware of. I recommend coming down for a visit and having a look at the towns before you make a decision. Prices in these areas vary also. Welcome to FL and feel free to inbox me if there is any other info I can share. I am local and don't mind helping others settle in as I have been in a similar situation years ago.

Thanks. We're definitely planning a visit in July to look around - nothing beats just driving around an area to get a feel for it.
