Plus, what's the hold up? They closed that area of the park so they don't deal with people traffic, and this is a wooden observation tower and not the Empire State Building!!! It is ridiculous that they took this long to begin with!

Decline of public amenities. In the future, there will be fewer and fewer of them, until they go non-existent.
Too much of a liability in today's society.

Someone mentioned Lithia Springs. I went there one time when we first moved to the area in 2000. Ugh. Once was enough.

I think you're right!
& if judging by the animalic reaction Ellen DeGeneres' show's audience has when receiving a TV set, I wouldn't be surprised if the'll eventually build condo's over all the state & county parks!!!

Apparently people are more interested in "couch" living rather than be outdoors & enjoy the nice parks we have.
