City should do a better job of crime. Blanket certain bad parts of town with cops until they are all in jail.

Stay away from Dale Mabry/Henderson and near the golf course and you're fine!

WRONG. My mother lives in Bayshore Beautiful and its a complete nightmare whenever it rains. It's not just Mabry/Henderson. It's all over.

Organize a flotilla of interested residents and business owners and have some small inflatable boats or even inner tubes ready for the next soaker. Find a real estate office in the area that gets some good flooding in front of it during those events. Hopefully one of the nationally known names with a big honker of a sign in front of the office. When the street fills, contact the local news stations and tell them the location where the flotilla will be so they can take some footage to replace the same old tired shots they always run. Make sure to position all the little boats and inner tubes in front of that big honker of a sign. Get everybody on those boats, rafts and inner tubes and start yelling and splashing around. Have good spokesperson to talk to the reporter.

It'll take some prep, and some folks willing to be ready at a half-hour's notice, and there might be a couple of fizzles before it gets flooded enough but remember, don't call the stations until the roadway fills up.

TV and youtube lend themselves to strong visuals. That would get the attention of the powers that be in Tampa, especially when the real estate company starts getting all annoyed about being visually positioned with selling flooded property. When business talks, government listens. No one gives a rat's patootie about individual citizens.

Sometimes you can be stranded on Davis Island after a minor drizzle. And yes Tampa has multiple "smells" and its getting worse. Its funny to try and compare a town like tampa to NYC but one day you wake up and it wil have the same or worse problems because for years everyone has been saying" well its not that bad".
