You're making a good choice.

I have DirecTV along with Brighthouse internet. Because I work in IT, and do quite a bit from home plus at last count we have 30+ network-connected devices between my work stuff and everyone's play stuff. So, I've got one of their higher speed tiers. I only have internet from BH. For home phone, I went with Ooma.

I had Sunday Ticket from DirecTV but dropped it after last year. I have another way to see Eagles games or whatever other sports events that may not be on TV locally.

Year 1 I get the free football package. Year 2 I don't get it. However I would have had to go to a sports bar to watch the Giants play at least 10 times a year. Lastly I get $200 for Sams club. It made no sense to keep Bright house. I will only miss Bay News 9. I will live lol!!!
Yeah, I'm with you - Brighthouse is killing my wallet. I'm thinking of going with these guys;

I pretty much watch HBO, PBS and TCM exclusively. Get a HD antenna and the HBO package and I'll get all my cable needs for $35-$40 a month. Hopefully, BH doesn't gig me on the price for internet/phone only.

Don't do it. I am switching back to BH next month. When it rains or even just a cloudy day you will not get any reception.

Its pouring out here. Lightning all over. I have perfect reception. Maybe because the system is brand new. I also had the dish pit on a pole in the back yard so my neighbors cant see it. Its below my fence line. Either way I to this point cant complain.
