With this stagnate economy we have had for the last 6 yrs, Employers will just hold the line until they see definite improvement. If anything they might cut back on employees or hours before they would consider raises.

I'm an employer and the employees that I consider to range from good up to critical, I have given raises to consistently, even in the 2007-2011 'bad times.' Those that I could lose and the only downside is having to waste time training someone new, they haven't gotten a raise in years, but they're also not bad enough to fire for the same reason.

As others have said, if you feel you're worth more than you're being paid, raise that question with well thought arguments in your favor. If your employer doesn't agree, well, then you know how they really think about you and it's time to move on to someone who will pay you more, if that entity exists, or if you can't find someone who will pay you more, you'll come to the realization that you're not worth as much as you thought.

Why do you think it's "ok" to raise these fees for the thousands of people commuting DT? That's not very considerate of you, but thanks for proving my point about the Northern Snottiness!

Its not "snottiness". It's a conclusion based on previous experience.

Your argument is flawed. Your business won't survive if people can't afford to pay for it!(be that a product or service)!

The Gov is made from "employers" and their sole job is to keep the rich richer & the poor poor or poorer. They usually mock certain jobs & make up stuff to justify why their employees don't get paid livable wages.

Your comment is trying to tell others that every penny the Gov spends is justified when in fact it is not. They are wasting money on a lot of things, so putting more pressure on commuters is just a very $hitty thing to do considering that everyone has to drive here and we don't have any kind of usable PT!

To make up for the extra expense, said business would have to increase their prices for their product or services. Driving their customers to their competition. Then the business would have to lay-off some employees or close their doors. Or just move the business, if possible, overseas for cheaper labor. Just ask all the former employed union workers, how that worked out for them.

My wallet! They don't need to be increasing tolls! They need to be paid less and use 3/4 of their undeserved salaries for road work. What this is going to do is going to have many AVOID these roads and create more traffic on roads that aren't tolls. So no matter how you flip this, the citizen looking to get to work gets screwed.
