Hello all,

My husband's work is near the Raymond James Stadium and I recently got a job in downtown, Sarasota.

Because of the distance between our jobs, we have to move toward south. (we are living around N. Tampa now)

We are young couple with no kids.

I have been considering South St. Pete or Palmetto area. But just heard some negative things around palmetto area.

Do you have any recommendations? I am looking for a middle point to live in between S. Tampa and Sarasota but the bridge shutting down due to weather concerning me a lot.

Please help us out. I am pretty new to this area so I really need your help.

Thank you!

Mira Bay Apollo Beach? Not sure what your budget is. Might consider Heritage Harbor Bradenton, east of I75, but drive to Raymond James will be lengthy. There are several newer developments on US 301 near Parrish/Ellenton east of I75. Pretty suburban but easy access to I75. Might look at the development near Imperial Lakes Golf Course (Palmetto) near I75 near the interchange Imperial Lakewoods Golf Club Palmetto, FL 34221.....unfortunately all sterile subdivision living but located near major interstate to get you on your way to work both in Tampa and Sarasota. Google any of the above and you'll see where I'm writing about.....

Bradenton or Manatee County would be your best bet. St. Pete will be a haul for both of you. There are some nice developments in Bradenton/Manatee depending on budget and what kind of lifestyle you want.

The drive to downtown Sarasota from the interstate takes a lot of time due to traffic, not enjoyable. I'd focus on cutting down on your travel by being closer to Bradenton maybe. The drive to RayJay can be tougher as you get up to the interchange malfunction junction I 275 and 4. Not the best of situations either commute unfortunately.
