We're moving to St.Pete in a week, and I knew from researching this that winters would be hotter than here in Daytona, but these temperatures look alarming. Right now in St. Pete it's 93 degrees w/ a heat index of 101. Is this normal for the first week in November? It's nearly 10 degrees way down in Miami right now.

This is unusual for November, though I can remember swimming in our pool a couple of times in Oct and Nov. Unheated pool too.

Why do you think Daytona is cooler? It's pretty much hot all over Florida.

It's warmer than normal, but this happens, it's not unheard of. I remember temps in the upper 80's right before Christmas one year, I've lived here my entire life and it's always anybodys guess about the weather

For what its worth, this november has been the hottest we have ever had. It'll cool off in a week or two.

It's always this warm. And every year like parrots people start complaining because "it wasn't this hot last year!" When in truth these are entirely normal temperatures.

Florida weather is unpredictable. For the past several years we got lucky, and got nice weather early, in October. But many years are like this and it doesn't cool off until about mid-November, and the weather predictions show just that for this year. I would say this is pretty normal.

I have lived here all my life and it has never been like this. We have always had some 50's by now in the Tampa area, and i mean around Tampa, not Hernado or places 50 miles to the north. This is past insane.

Buy a clue jack. 92,91 is not normal for this time of year. Here is Oct of 2008. Look at the last week and see the 40's folks.

Here is Oct of 2011.

As you can see with more of a normal ups and downs. At least you see a spread and a mix of 90's and 40's. Don't let anyone tell you this last 6 weeks has been normal.

I am in my 60s, born and raised here. I've seen MANY Novembers like this. It will be cooler by mid month.
