I doubt anyone on here has, but figured I'd ask. Was just curious how it's doing, and if it's a daily route? I flew the Zurich route over and over, and last year they increased that route from twice a week to 4 times a week now. It was always full. And we stole that route from Orlando, and Tampa is starting to show that if an international route does good out of Orlando...it can do just as well in Tampa. The Zurich route is actually pulling in better numbers than it did in Orlando.

I'm excited for the upcoming renovations to the airport, especially with Bavaro's and other local restaurants going to be operating out of there. Even without the renovations, it's one of the best airports in the country.

I haven't done so, but I am impressed that they have a line heading that way, that is certainly good news for the area. Definitely the tourism for the area is big with getting those types of routes. I wish I could comment more, I will say also, Tampa is one of those rare cities where the area immediately around the airport is actually pretty nice (International Plaza and the like)

Lived in Germany for over 20 yrs and have to say they do things right. I've traveled through Frankfurt and Munich airports a ton of times and all of them are perfect for travel. You can hop on a fast, intercity train out of both of them and be in another major European city in a matter of hours.

But I am sorry to see that the German culture has become lost and is becoming an amalgamation of so many different cultures.

What happened to countries having a culture that they can call their own?

Those who modeled us lost it...I thought that was obvious...

Good luck. Tampa is lucky enough to have the three Europe routes that it does. And it's so easy to make connections from London, Frankfurt, and Zurich.

The flight has been doing well so far nearly 86% filled for 9 flights per week.

Where did you get these numbers? I couldn't find anything online. Have you flown it yourself?

I was hoping to see direct flights from Tampa to Berlin. It was a lot easier when we lived in NY.

Tampa is not a major destination. Lufthansa's routes from medium-size US cities to Frankfurt is pretty standard, and it's not hard to get to Berlin from there. That's exactly what I used the Zurich route for: my connecting point to the rest of Europe. It certainly beats connecting to somewhere like Atlanta or JFK and then flying internationally.
