I'd like to do some fishing off a pier somewhere in St. Pete, but all I can find is the one they just demolished. Is there another one? I don't want to go all the way down the Skybridge to fish. It's a bit far. I work near the Dali Museum and live near Tyrone Blvd. and Park Dr. Which also brings up my other question - where is a good place to get some saltwater fishing equipment? Does Target sell it? There's one near me.

I see the water at the end of 1st Ave - but where exactly would one fish? I don't see a dock. Just by the boats over the fence?

Another good spot in that area is the parking lot just before you get on the road/causeway leading to the pier. looks like this=

The pic is a bit dated as that is the Bounty moored to the pier.
