Hello everyone!

I am seriously considering a move to FL, but I have no idea where to move to! I am a 26yr old female currently in sales, but may consider a career change after I come to FL. I have been to Tampa/Clearwater(last summer) and the Ft. Lauderdale area (that was about 10 years ago.) but I don't know how to narrow it down though. I would really like to research and have 2-3 areas in mind, then come down to check them out, but don't know if I can do that even. If you can help me, please let me know. I would like to be near the Gulf or Atl. Ocean, so nothing really far inland- can someone rec. a website or something to help me?

Please, please, if you can offer some advice, let me know.

Thanks to all that respond!

It rains a lot here too(July-September), more of a heavy downfall for an hour or so compared to the steady drizzle all day u get in the pacific nw.
-Tampa/St. Pete is more laid back w/ some decent nightlife but it's kind of scattered and there are not a lot of walkable area(south tampa/hyde park probably the best area for your age...lots of mom and pop restaurants and bars), good 'small city' sports town and cheaper
-Ft. Lauderdale- faster pace, diverse, better nightlife(las olas, hollywood, casino, south beach on occasion), beaches are closer, keys are closer, apathetic sports fans
-Gulf vs Atlantic: I guess it depends on the person, I don't like the Gulf b/c it just feels like a warm lake(doesn't really cool u down in July) w/ no waves at all, Atlantic water is a little cooler but refreshing w/ the heat we get and there are some decent waves at times(nothing compared w/ the pacific)
