Had to order an electric blanket...it's getting serious now. I'm suffering from tank top and flip flop withdrawals.

Right there with you. I have cold induced urticaria (hives and severe inflammation from the cold), so when the temps go below 70, I have some real issues when the weather gets like this.

And it seems we have another week of it, too.

So sorry to hear that.

I didn't expect it to be 75 and sunny, every single day in the winter down here. I also didn't think life was all life under a Palm Tree either. I just didn't know the weather was so up and down, this time of year though. It's not really all that comfortable, some of that might be I'm feeling cold more living in a mobile home. Something I'm not use to living in. I Just always feel cold now, that the weather has cooled down so much. Today its suppose to be mid 70's but its a heavy rain day. In a few days it will only get to the 50's, according to the weather. A little more than 10 days ago it was in the 80's and hot. It had been hot since April or May. So your body can't adjust. So no I'm not liking this winter weather pattern. I just thought it would be more sunny, at least 70 degree type weather this time of year. Evidently that is not the case here.

I'm finding I'm feeling the cold more down here, than when I lived in Anchorage. It's obviously coming from the fact, that it is so hot and humid for months on end. Then it suddenly drops down in temp quickly, add cold winds and living in an old mobile home. Yeah I'm feeling it more, because my body got use to heat and humidity.

I got called out to work tonight, took a jacket just in case. Ended up not needing it. It's 47 right now.

This weather is a lot closer to average than the weather in December. Do you guys have short term memory or something? If you want eighties and nineties year-round, you need move to Manaus.

Well considering that the first part of November I was in -30 weather, this is balmy.

Still wear my shorts and flip flops everyday, although I will put a long sleeve shirt on rather than the short sleeve one.

People get acclimated to the high humidity and heat, so when these fronts hit in the winter, if feels like the Artic Circle to them. They also get used to wearing flip-flops, t-shirts, and shorts and continue to try to wear these things when the air gets colder and the wind chill hits. Its as if they don't have a pair of pants, sweatshirts, and socks/shoes or are too lazy to drag them out. You see all kinds of under-dressed people where I live who complain how cold it is.

End of rant.
