Does anyone know of a parking lot, metered parking or parking garage in or around St. Pete Beach that has overnight parking? I tried searching on google, but I'm getting mixed information.

Thanks!

I live in SPB and am not aware of anywhere safe to park overnight that isn't private. If you have no choice but to do it, my recommendation would probably be to try Hotel Zamora where there's 24x7 valet service; see if you can tip someone into letting you park overnight. Alternatively, there's a bunch of dingy apartment/motel type places in and around the 72nd Ave area that you may be able to pay the attendant to let you park; start a map search at Willy's Burgers and work your way around from there. Third option, which I can't vouch for the safety of, would be street parking on the north end of Corey Ave. It's public street just north of City Hall and I see vehicles parked there all the time, but I don't know the official policy. Final option, go get some drinks at Drunken Clam where all the locals hang out, offer someone $20 to park in their driveway overnight. :-)

That's a trend nowadays. Lots of van dwellers out there. Guess it's the state of the economy unfortunately.

If he just wants to store the car for a few days the longterm parking at the St Pete/Clearwater airport might suffice.
If he wants to just sleep overnighr then i'd go to a place where fishermen usually spend the night fishing like somewhere on the causeway out to Ft Desoto, or the rest area going out to the Skyway.

I follow a lot of van dwellers and stealth urban campers on youtube. There are tons of them out there......it'll get worse in the coming yrs. And campgrounds are full with full time RVers who have no home as well. I do a lot of trailering.....rv sites are to capacity down here.....and some places are price gouging during winter months.....sad seeing kids heading to school from a class c rv.....guess you have to do whatever to survive.
