I am trying to get the name of this hotel/restaurant I went to when I visited before. All the locals told me about a place that had a huge buffet with crab legs and all. It was in a hotel, at least I believe so. The restaurant also had a lounge connected to it where they had bands come in to play. The place was down the beach and sat on the water side of the road. Any ideas where this is? I know it was pretty well known to everyone around. Thanks.

Shepards is the name of the place on Clearwater Beach that you describe above.

Could it be the Don Cesar on St Pete beach? This would be south of Clearwater, so it may not be the one....

Both Cooters and Sheppards do an all you can eat crab leg special. Cooters is my favorite. 423 Poinsettia, north end of Clearwater Beach.

The Hilton had a weekend buffet.
Prime rib, crab legs, shrimp, etc.
It was either on Friday or Saturday night.
