Driver charged with DUI manslaughter in Howard Frankland Bridge crash | WTSP.com

Guy charged with killing three, drunk driving. Released on bond WITHIN A DAY OF THE FATAL DUI.

WTH?

Are we a stupid society or what?

Why don't we just make sure his refrigerator is filled with a case of beer before he goes home while we're at it?

I am sure the bum won't be in jail for very long. Should be beat for weeks and then killed.

Dude.
Don't know why this is news.
This happens every single day.

It's why I'm frustrated at our stupid, lax, artard DUI laws.

Many we see here are repeat offenders.
They should have never had a chance to repeat.

Killing three people with your car happens frequently, but not ever day. DUI is one thing, but when you kill, there ought to be a difference in how you're treated. It's the equivalent of going into a store, shooting three people dead, walking out, arrested and released within 24 hrs.

Seems unjust.

Florida DUI laws are too lenient thanks to state lawmakers who don't want to kill the buzz for vacationers.

While this jerk was a local, the idiocy behind our DUI laws is money money money. Alcoholic beverage lobbyists and the pockets of Florida politicians.

Shame on all of them.

Being able to walk out after murdering 3 people seems high risk for the community. Who is to say he won't to it again while on bail?

It is amazing. This is the 21st century, and supposedly, we have progressed in so many ways, humanity wise, and yet, we still read about drunk driving incidents. Why? Last time I checked, DUI, is 100% preventable. Either have a designated driver, or, simply do not drink. But people still continue to make decisions, which cost people their lives. Astounding.

I'm surprised people aren't blaming cars like they do with guns!

This man who killed a family of three should get life without parole. Time after time we see them get a suspended license and driving again as they have no other form of transportation and the car sitting it their driveway or parking lot and people with "no brain and no common sense" will just take the keys and feel it is ok to just go to the store after drinking another glass of alcohol to buy another bottle or 6 pack.
