Does anyone know of any cheap places to get small CO2 cartridges refilled and to buy / refill propane tanks for grilling? I live in Largo so prefer it to be near there.

Lowes and Home Depot are obvious for the propane but I feel they're overpriced ($50 for a standard propane tank, $20 for a refill) and I don't think they do CO2

You're probably going to have to find an industrial gas supplier to get CO2.

I have always bought my own propane tanks outright and had them filled on my own, as it's the cheapest way to do it. I don't like the cylinder exchange services, as I'm not convinced they're properly filled and I don't want to have to pay a deposit for a cylinder I don't own.

I can't speak for your area, but in eastern Hillsborough County a lot of the small hardware stores carry propane tanks of all sizes, and they're not expensive.

Costco or whatever warehouse membership you have usually has good prices on propane.

I just checked with Sam's Club yesterday, they sell the tank but according to the cashier they don't sell propane, at least not at the store in Riverview.

Propane for gas grilling.

I've been homebrewing for years now but more or less stopped since moving to FL with my wife (then gf) since I'm the only one in the house that drinks beer now, and I'm trying to stay in shape. It takes me about 8 months to put back 50 bottles now. The CO2 is for a mini-keg kegerator that my wife got me for Christmas

We don't have any warehouse memberships, though I do have a friend with one to Costco

OK.... and where can I find an industrial gas supplier? If I own my own tank, where do I get it filled? Buying a tank isn't difficult or expensive, even at Home Depot, I just don't know where to take it to get it filled cheaply. I just know about the exchange places.

Thank you for providing some legitimate actionable information Though it does seem strange that a fire equipment place sells things that actually causes fires instead of puts them out...

If you are near an RV park, ask them if they will refill your tank. I used to do this when we lived near a golf course with snowbird RV parking in AZ. RVers always need propane so all the RV parks sell it, often to the public. It was far cheaper than a tank swap.

Here I just swap out at Winn Dixie or Walgreen's for convenience sake.
